# E-Mode

### **Overview**

E-Mode (Efficiency Mode) gives you higher borrowing limits when you stick to related assets. Instead of the same limits for everything, you get better rates when borrowing and lending within asset groups like stablecoins or ETH derivatives.

### **How to Enable E-Mode**

1. **Navigate to the ‘E-Mode’ Settings**
   * Go to the Pike Lending Dashboard.
   * Locate the ‘E-Mode’ button.
2. **Enable E-Mode**
   * Click the **E-mode** button.
   * Select the appropriate E-Mode category.
   * Navigate through the journey (repaying/disabling assets as appropriate for the E-Mode category).
   * Confirm activation, understanding that only assets within the same category will benefit.

3. **Review Borrowing Limits**
   * Check the updated LTV ratios and ensure your health factor remains safe.

### **How to Switch E-Mode Categories**

* Users can only switch E-Mode categories if their account remains solvent under normal conditions.
* If switching categories would result in under-collateralization, Pike may restrict the action.

### **How to Disable E-Mode**

1. **Ensure your borrowed position is safe**
   * Repay part of your debt if needed to meet standard mode requirements.
2. **Navigate to ‘E-Mode’ Settings**
   * Select the option to disable E-Mode.
3. **Confirm Deactivation**
   * Review the impact on borrowing limits and confirm the action.

By using E-Mode responsibly, borrowers can maximize efficiency while benefiting from controlled risk parameters.
